I love Shark Week

I love Shark Week.

In fact, I still think about something I heard on Shark Week many years ago.

The great white shark — one of the most feared and ferocious hunters of the deep — is. . .timid?

When the narrator said that, I cranked up the volume. Did I hear that right?

Yes — “timid.”

The scientist narrating the program described how the great white shark would approach a target very carefully, circling and observing for a while and looking for warnings.

It might bump its target then dash away, assessing the risks.

But the scientist wasn’t done surprising me.

He then said that if the shark only knew how fast, strong and powerful it was, it would be much more direct and aggressive.

“Imagine how different the ocean would be,” he said.

It made me think…just imagine how different our dojo, our training, and our lives would be if we all knew how powerful we really are.

Imagine what you can accomplish when you remember you are truly exceptional.
